Your dishwasher cleans your dishes, but sometimes even it needs a cleaning. Food scraps, grease, and soap scum can slow down performance and can even make it smell bad. Here’s how to perform a routine cleaning to keep your dishwasher running efficiency.
At EH Clean, our motto is "We don't cut corners, we clean them!" By stressing a quality, tailor-made cleaning service for all of our clients who demand the best, we have been able to build a strong and thriving business. We are owner operated and during the past 20 years we have gained a vast amount of knowledge, understanding and experience within all aspects of cleaning and it shows in our work.
Clean Soils on the Bottom
Empty your dishwasher and remove the bottom rack. Next, remove any visible food from the bottom of the dishwasher.
Clean The Filter
If your dishwasher has a filter, remove it and throw away anything trapped inside. Consult your owner’s manual for help.
Add a drop of dishwasher soap to a damp cloth and wipe down the dishwasher seals and around the bottom.
Clean The Spray Arm
Wipe down the spray arm with a damp cloth. Use a toothpick to unclog the holes in the spinner arm.
Realign the Rack
Make sure the wheels are aligned properly. If the wheels are off track, the rack may block the spray arm from rotating and result in a poor cleaning.
Add Dishwasher Cleaner
For best results, use a premium dishwasher cleaner and run your empty dishwasher on its longest cycle.
Keep it clean and keep it routine. We recommend cleaning your dishwasher once a month or as needed. Yes, even your dishwasher needs to be washed periodically.
